“The Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco has apologised for a controversial photo she posted on Instagram on the Fourth of July showing her dogs sitting on an American flag.
Cuoco, 30, was criticised by Internet users for the photo and the actress has now issued an apology along with a picture of a heart emblazoned with the stars and stripes, reported Ace Showbiz.
“I would like to comment on a photo I posted yesterday, that has caused lots of controversy. First off, please know, I have the utmost respect for my country. She added, “Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag. I sincerely apologize to anyone that has been offended by my previous post.

A second follower wrote, “Shame on you, Kaley. You lost a fan.”
Another fan defended Cuoco, sharing, “Maybe she didn’t know that it was a real flag after all she is out of town.” The picture has since been deleted.
