Asha Negi takes her positive vibes wherever she goes. The television actor, who will soon be seen in Entertainment Ki Raat on Colors, spoke exclusively to indianexpress.com, and proved why she is not just pretty and talented but can also bring happiness all around. In her new show she will be attempting comedy for the first time, in a bid to spread laughter.
When we caught up with Asha on the sidelines of the launch of her new show, the 28-year-old had a free wheeling conversation around her, the show and the most talked about Bigg Boss 11. The actor has always maintained that she likes watching the reality show and this year is no different. Asha had also recently been on the stage with host Salman Khan while promoting her new offering.
Talking about the controversial reality show, Asha, in an exclusive chat shared “Yes, I am following the show though I missed on the last few episodes because of work. I have never followed Bigg Boss so religiously like I am doing it this time.”
When asked about her favourite contestant this season, the Pavitra Rishta actor said, “Right now there’s no favourite but I do support Vikas Gupta. Not just because he is a friend but the way he has been playing the game is commendable. The entire house was recently against him and he did not let it deter him at all. And he is called mastermind for a reason. I think he is very intelligent to understand things that no other housemates can. They have labeled him mastermind out of sheer jealousy. But I like the fact he carries the name like a badge of honour.
With her inimitable charming smile, Asha added, “I also love watching Arshi Khan. She is like a breath of fresh air and super entertaining.”
Giving an insight to her participation in Entertainment Ki Raat, the young actor said, “I will be my goofy self, who will be the butt of all jokes. That I think would be USP in the show. My friends find me funny when I am the real me, and I hope the audience will also laugh along. But honestly, I am really nervous to be on the same stage with these performers but they have been really helpful. Dipika (Kakar) and I have done daily soaps and so people think that they are TV bahus who are always crying, yeh kya comedy karengi (how will they do comedy) but I think we are doing a fine job.”
Entertainment Ki Raat will launch on November 18 and air at 10 pm on Colors, every weekend. Along with Asha and Dipika, Karan Wahi, Ravi Dubey, Aditya Narayan, Mubeen Saudagar, RJ Malishka, Raghu and Balraj will also been seen tickling the funny bones.
