Ghibran’s Chennai 2 Singapore gets a release date

The delayed Chennai 2 Singapore which made news for launching its album on a road trip is hitting the screens on November 24. Helmed by Abbas Akbar, the film has Gokul and Anju Kurian as the leads. It is also the first production venture of music director Ghibran.

Chennai 2 Singapore helmed by Abbas Akbar featuring Gokul and Anju Kurian as the lead is now set to release on November 24. With music by Gibran, the film made headlines for its unique promotional methods. To launch its audio album, the crew along with its music director Ghibran took a road trip from Chennai to Singapore. Travelling through six different countries, the crew released a song as they reached each location. The final song was released in Singapore.

Talking about his association with Ghibran, Abbas said, “Ghibran is a long-time friend. He is the senior of Gokul Anand who plays an important film.” Ghibran is also turning producer for the first time with Chennai 2 Singapore along with Media Development Authority, Singapore. The team recently announced a contest as well where contestants submit a video of a rap. The winners got a free trip on the Chennai 2 Singapore mobile vehicle that was used during the audio launch. The mobile vehicle also made its rounds in Chennai offering free rides to Chennaities as part of its promotional activities.

The film was also shown to Kamal Haasan, who is said to have appreciated the film.

Meanwhile, Ghibran is awaiting the release of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru which is expected to hit the screens on November 17. The young music composer has also composed music for Lady Superstar Nayanthara’s Aramm which released today.
