For many reasons, Bigg Boss Tamil was a show to remember. It marked the debut of a legendary actor, Kamal Haasan onto the small screen. You could love it or hate it, but it was tough to not be part of the spectacle thanks to the memes and the extensive social media and real life conversations it started. Bigg Boss Tamil ended in October with Trichy model turned actor crowned as the winner. But as soon the show ended, speculations for the second season of the contest have begun. If reports are to believed, Kamal Haasan, who received a lot of love and adulation for hosting season 1 will most likely not host the following season, thanks to Indian 2 and his political aspirations. And actor Suriya is allegedly on the top of the list of name being considered by the makers to host Bigg Boss Tamil season 2.

Notably Suriya also made his small screen debut with Star Vijay, the broadcaster of Bigg Boss Tamil. The actor hosted the first season of Tamil version of the popular game show ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’. Titled ‘Neengalum vellalam oru Kodi’, the show was a hit among the audiences who loved the actor’s hosting style. However due to other commitments, Suriya declined to host the subsequent seasons. Season 2 was hosted by actor Prakash Raj and season 3 was hosted by Aravind Swamy. We will have to wait and see if Bigg Boss 2 marks Suriya’s comeback on small screen.

On the other hand, Suriya is awaiting the release of his 35th film Thaana Serndha Kootam. Directed by Vignesh Sivn, TSK also has Keerthy Suresh, Thambi Ramaiah and legendary comedian Senthil. The film is expected to release during Pongal 2018.
