Actor Sarika gushes that the posters of the television show, Yudh has a powerful feel to it. “I shouldn’t be saying this as I star in it but I can’t ignore it either,” she quips as she confesses to being happy about being a part of the unraveling drama.
The actor, who is debuting on television, says that she couldn’t have asked for a better start. “It’s an attractive package that I have got. While the presence of Amitabh Bachchan assures quality content, the others associated with the show including Anurag Kashyap, Shoojit Sircar and Ribhu Dasgupta just makes it even more interesting,” she remarks.
In the show, Gauri plays Yudhister’s (Amitabh Bachchan) first wife and a civil servant who decides to cut her husband loose when he becomes too ambitious and chooses to start a stock-broking company. Later, she finds a great husband in Jeet who is more like her in temperament
The actor says her character is very layered and has given her an opportunity to show her acting prowess once again. “Gauri is a very happy and content woman, who follows certain rules and likes standing by them. It’s a strong character that will leave a mark,” she says.
The actor enjoyed working with Bachchan with whom she is even sharing screen space in Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming movie, Shoebite. “When you leave home for work, you look forward to the day if you are aware it is Amitabh Bachchan shooting with you. Every time you work with him, you feel he has become more energetic. Plus, he is very experimental as an actor. That encourages one to do better,” concludes Sarika, who is looking forward to the show.
