Producer Sunil Bohra has announced his next venture that would bring together seven directors to direct one short film each on the seven sins.

As of now five directors including Sudhir Mishra, Hansal Mehta, Anurag Kashyap, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vasan Bala, have given a nod, while Bohra is busy finalising two more directors.

The idea, Bohra says is to make short films popular. “I am trying to put seven shorts into one feature. Many films are made only to make money, but this is an effort to make the short format popular,” says Bohra, who in the long run plans to make “seven” a franchise. “We would have films on seven virtues, seven supernatural beliefs etc,” he says.

Bohra adds that despite of being good friends with Kashyap, the film-maker had turned down many of his ideas, but this one got an instant approval. “Kashyap and Tigmanshu have yet to choose the sin on which they would make the 15-minute film. The other three have already selected it. Vasan has picked up sloth, Sudhir has taken envy and Hansal gluttony,” says Bohra.
