Sriram Raghavan, who was to start shooting for his Varun Dhawan starrer (which is still untitled) by this April end will now begin the shoot in mid-May. Presently the pre-production of the film, which is being produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan’s Iluminati Films, is going on which also includes Dhawan doing some workshops. The other cast is also to be locked. As of now besides Dhawan, only Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Huma Qureshi have been signed for the project. The main concern is getting an older actress opposite Dhawan as he will be shown aging a good 15 years or so. It is known that the film is an edgy thriller but now it has come to light that the movie is also a revenge drama. If one remembers Raghavan’s Ek Hasina Thi was also a revenge saga where Urmila Matondkar’s character takes revenge after being framed by her beau Saif Ali Khan in an illegal firearms’ case.
According to a source, a majority of the film will be shot in Pune and some parts in Mumbai.

Nitesh Tiwari’s next with Disney-UTV

The Bhoothnath Returns director is now working on a project to be produced by Disney UTV. Reports earlier suggested that producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, Managing Director of Disney UTV had met with Aamir Khan for a serious drama film and Nitesh Tiwari was being considered to direct it. ”I’m working on a project with Disney UTV,” said the writer and director, but refused to reveal anything further. Wonder if it’s the same project? The director also revealed that he is also giving the finishing touches to a script which his wife Ashwini Iyer Tiwari will be directing.
