Actor Sidharth Malhotra will be seen sporting a different look for his upcoming film Villain. The actor says, “For Villain, I had to experiment with my look. I have a slightly different hairstyle. I sport a beard as well as tattoos, and had to even bulk up a little. As my character is aggressive and intense, hopefully, the audience will see me in a different light. The character has a lot of emotional baggage. You’ll see the difference between the sweet lover boy I’ve played earlier, and this aggressive man.”
Post the success of Aashiqui 2, the expectations from director Mohit Suri are high. Villain is also a love story but with a slight twist. Malhotra states, “Villain, I think, is Mohit Suri’s version of a love story, but it also has a bit of action. Essentially, it’s about how everyone has a little villainous side in their personality. Shraddha (Kapoor) and I are playing these interesting characters, which people will relate to. It also has a middle-class backdrop.”
Almost half of the film has been shot in Goa, while the rest of it will be shot in Mumbai, once Malhotra’s film Hasee Toh Phasee releases.
The actor is also in talks for the Hindi remake of the French film, Priceless. “This will most probably be a co-production between Disney UTV and Dharma Productions, but it will be announced as and when it happens. So I cannot talk much about it,” says Malhotra.
