Singer Shaan’s band Superbia will compose music for Vishwas Pandya’s film Baa Baa Black Sheep. Gourav Dasgupta, Gwen and Roshin Balu are also part of the band that has already recorded five tracks for the film. “This would be their full-fledged debut in films though as a band, they may have composed one-off tracks earlier,” stated the director of the band that recently released an album titled Satrangi.
When asked about the title of the film, Pandya explained that Baba is the name of the hero and he is sort of ‘black’ in the film which features Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Ali Fazal in the lead. The heroine for the mad, quirky film is yet to be finalised, he said adding that the film’s shooting will take off in December.
While stating that Baa Baa Black Sheep is different, Pandya went on to explain, “It does not belong in the space of conventional films. It is also not a regular slapstick comedy, but is more like a comic thriller. Although the location has not yet been locked, the film will be shot on two different locations out of Mumbai.”
The director plans to release Baa Baa Black Sheep next year.
