Rajat Kapoor plays Tabu’s husband in ‘Drishyam’ remake

Tabu is playing a supercop in the Hindi remake of the Malayalam super hit 'Drishyam'.

Tabu, Rajat Kapoor ‘Drishyam’ is slated to take off in mid-March in Goa and will then travel to Hyderabad and Kerala.

It is now known that Tabu is playing a supercop in the Hindi remake of the Malayalam super hit ‘Drishyam’, but not many know that Rajat Kapoor plays her husband in the film!

It will be interesting to see the actor, who has been getting a lot of accolades for his directorial venture ‘Ankhon Dekhi’, paired with the actress, who has been lauded for her path- breaking role as a mother in Haider.

In the original the husband’s role was played by actor Siddique.

The news was confirmed by the film’s producer Abhishek Pathak. “We also have Shriya Saran on board as Ajay Devgn’s wife, who, like the original, will be playing a mother and her character will be with Ajay through his journey in the film,” said Pathak.

‘Drishyam’ is a thriller, about a man’s desperate measures to save his wife and daughter, who commit a crime unintentionally.

To be directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film is slated to take off in mid-March in Goa and will then travel to Hyderabad and Kerala.
