Purab Kohli was caught in a rather awkward situation during an event associated with his recently-released film, Jal. The actor was asked about an outfil piece of apparel which he has often been spotted in of late. “It’s my favourite jacket,” he quipped, adding that he finds it very comfortable. Immediately, host Siddharth Kannan went ahead and told members of the audience that he would be playing a special quiz, where a grand prize was to be given away. The question was related to the film and the lead actress, Kirti Kulhari, immediately gave the right answer. Without any wait, Kannan announced that Kohli’s jacket was the grand prize and asked Kulhari to collect it from him immediately. Kohli was embarrassed, as he clearly didn’t want to part with his fav jacket. He promised to buy a new jacket for Kulhari instead. Quite a catch 22 situation, isn’t it?

Crackling chemistry

At a recent event, one couldn’t help but notice the adorable chemistry shared by Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Even as the duo was busy promoting their film, they just couldn’t take their eyes off each other, as in between every question, Kapoor would miss no opportunity to pull Bhatt’s leg and the actress would simply smile, while slapping or pushing the actor away in jest. When the host asked Kapoor to use the limited edition 2 States scarf in a fun way, the actor immediately got up, twirled the scarf and wrapping it around her waist, pulled Bhatt towards him and said, “Ab theek hain? Ya kuch aur karun?” A visibly-embarrassed Bhatt couldn’t stop laughing, as she told the audience, “Only Arjun Kapoor can do this! Krish Malhotra from 2 States is too shy for all this. Enough now,” she said as she pushed her hero away, laughing on her way back to her seat.

Happily married

Caught up with the lovely Sameera Reddy at an event and the actress, who tied the knot in January this year, was glowing. Marriage seems to have done her a lot of good and she agreed. “Marriage is fun,” smiled Reddy who has married Akshai Varde, founder of Vardenchi Motorcycles who manufacture personalised motorcycles. “A feeling of calmness has prevailed over me and I feel very relaxed and content.” The best part, she says, is that her husband is also a Bandra boy and lives only 10 minutes from her parent’s place! “Life is blissful at the moment,” chirped the actress who will soon head for her honeymoon.
