It is more or less confirmed that Priyanka Chopra will be doing Madhur Bhandarkar’s Madamji. The film traces the journey of an item girl who eventually ventures into politics and Chopra, it seems, is very gung-ho about the project. “Priyanka loved the script, but she has yet to sign on the dotted line as the modalities are still being worked out,” said a source close to Bhandarkar adding that the film is slated to start in October.
Madamji will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi and UP. The film is woman-centric and like all of Madhur’s films, it will be made on a modest budget.”
Bhandarkar and Chopra had earlier worked in Fashion for which the actress had also won a National Award in the Best Actress Category.

Priyanka in Prabhu Dheva’s next starring Saif Ali Khan?

Although he is currently busy with his next directorial venture, Action Jackson, starring Ajay Devgn, Prabhu Dheva has already started making plans for his other ventures. It was earlier reported that Prabhu Dheva’s next project will be a Reliance Entertainment venture starring Saif Ali Khan. According to latest reports, the new development is that the director has approached Priyanka Chopra for the role of the leading lady in the film.
Considering this pair has never been seen on the celluloid before, the director was keen on signing Chopra for the film. When we tried to contact Prabhu Dheva to confirm the news, the director was unavailable for comment. Chopra’s spokesperson said she could comment on it.
