Preity Zinta has denied renting out her Mumbai flat to pay off her debts. Surprised by the rumours, she stated the it is untrue as she is ‘most comfortably able to look after herself financially’. The co-owner of Kings XI Punjab IPL team confirmed that she is not going bankrupt. Apparently an estate agent said that the actress, who has been living in Quantum Park, Union Park, Khar for a long while now, wanted to lease out her flat and relocate to another one.
Kajal Aggarwal recently visited the Srikalahastishwara Temple in Tirupati and offered prayers. Accompanied by her parents, she performed pooja to Rahu and Ketu and made an offering of coconut and flowers and took prasadam. After the darshan, she even took the blessing of the pandits. Her arrival, however, created a pandemonium in the temple premises. She waved at her fans there, but declined to give autographs inside the temple premises.
As his wife Maanyata Dutt recently underwent a surgery, Sanjay Dutt has sought a second extension of his parole. The actor was granted a month’s parole from Pune’s Yerawada Jail from December 21 for the second time after he spent the entire month of October on leave from prison. This time, he was supposed to return to jail on January 21 but he sought extension of his temporary release from jail by another month (till February 21) which was granted by authorities.
Veteran theatre and film actor Zohra Sehgal had written to the Union Ministry of Culture in 2011 for an allotment of a ground-floor government house anywhere in Central Delhi as she was finding it difficult to move around. According to the government, the 101-year old doesn’t fall in the admissible age limit of 40-60 years to qualify for accommodation under artiste quota. Presently she lives in a second-floor flat in South Delhi’s Mandakini Enclave with daughter Kiran.
