While television actors are striving hard to breakaway from television and enter Bollywood, Aashka Goradia, who has been a familiar face on TV too wants to do a good film someday. But for the present, she doesn’t mind taking an unconventional path by becoming the host of a show on finance aptly titled, Get Rich With Aashka.
The actor, who was recently announced the face of the newly launched Gujarati business channel, CNBC Bazar, has also been roped in to do the weekly show. “The show will help people in managing personal finances. We will go and meet families in different cities, understand their financial issues and help them accordingly,” she says and adds that the crux of the show is to help people multiply their savings.
The show that went on air last week, has been shot in different cities of Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Surat and Rajkot. “We soon plan to tap other cities in the country with a considerable amount of Gujarati population like Varanasi and Mumbai,” says Aashka, for whom this is not just a TV show for which she has turned host but also a means to personal growth. “I have been training with financial experts since the last three months in order to be true to my role,” she says, and thinks that she is now ready to give financial advice to her friends.
