Luv Ranjan, who is currently directing the sequel to his 2011-hilarious venture ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, is turning producer with a film titled ‘Wild Wild Punjab’.

He will produce the project with his partner Ankur Garg and Abhishek Pathak of Panorama Studios. The film will be helmed by Ranjan’s associate Anshul Sharma who has directed a short film ‘Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga’.

Denying that his film is similar to Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’, as reported, Ranjan said, “I would like to believe that it is not similar to ‘Udta Punjab’ in any way. All I can say is that my film is not about the drug abuse in Punjab. The script is locked and we will start shooting in Punjab during the third quarter this year. So it is a bit early to talk about the project. But yes, it will be funny and can be enjoyed by all,” said the producer.
