Heavy rains? Chances are that you might be stuck in a traffic jam, or knee-deep water outside your house will force you to stay indoors. But, gaming enthusiasts can ensure that they keep themselves entertained, irrespective of where they are, with a bouquet of new games that were freshly released on the iOS app store. The mix of genres like action, adventure, racing, thrill among others will leave the gamers spoilt for choice. So, here’s presenting our favourite picks:
1 Age of Booty: Tactics
Developer: Certain Affinity
You start off by choosing a captain and then build a deck of several ships. Once done, you can fight against multiple players online using Game Center or Facebook. The game also includes a local pass and play mode. The 3D visuals are well designed and music is okay. But, we are a little disappointed with the in-app purchases, since there are a few important items that need real cash. Anyway, for a free application, it makes for a fun game.
2 Angry Birds Epic
Developer: Rovio Entertainment Ltd
The latest offering from the Angry Birds franchise is the Angry Birds Epic, that lives up to the hype built around it. The gameplay remains the same, where the much loved ‘birds’ including Red, Chuck and Bomb turn warriors, as they battle it out against the green enemies that include King Pig, Wiz Pig, Prince Porky among others. A set of different set ups are included in the game, which range from tribal villages to tropical beaches and more. Go ahead and get hooked on to this awesome game.
3 Line: Disney Tsum Tsum
Developer: Naver Japan
This puzzle game includes different Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Winnie The Pooh among others. All you have to do is connect three or more of the same Tsums (A lot like Candy Crush Saga, remember?) and eliminate them. Earn additional points for every extra Tsum that gets eliminated. The fever mode (a lot like the donut in CCS) can help you collect extra points. But don’t forget, this application requires you to log into your social media account to connect and has a few in-app purchases. You can challenge your friends online as well.
4 MMX Racing
Developer: Hutch Games
Racing lovers will have to download the exciting MMX Racing game! The player needs to create huge, fire breathing monster trucks, that can race against other equally strong opponents. But look out, there are no gear changes and the hurdles along the way keep challenging the player. The gamer has a choice of customising and upgrading their truck as they keep clearing one race after another. There are several events and almost 15 good tracks, where the number of tough opponents keep increasing. The makers are also planning multiplayer competitions and other new elements in future upgrades.
5 Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Price: $ 14.99
One of the most popular action-hunting games allows the player to embark upon a variety of different quests, where you are required to slay monsters or collect items using interesting weapons and tactics. Interestingly, if you like a certain quest, you can always go back and re-play it. The controls are extremely easy and the graphics look beautiful. You can also go hunting with up to four plays online (this function needs Wi-Fi). So, in case you get stuck in a particular quest, you can always take help from your friends. The price might be a little steep, but with no in-app purchases and a great gameplay, this one is totally worth it.
