Industry delegates meet Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria

T.P.Agarwal, President of Indian Motion Picture Producers Association led a delegation of Hindi film industry members to meet Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria to discuss various issues concerning the producers. Vikas Mohan (Senior Vice President of Indian Film and TV producers Council), Ashoke Pandit (President of Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association), film producers Ramesh Taurani and Naresh Mahnot and television producer Jamnadas Majethia were part of the delegation whose main complaints were against political parties barging inside film/ television set, disrupting the shoot and even threatening the unit of dire consequences if their demands are not addressed to immediately. They even mentioned visits of junior police officers and traffic cops on the pretext of extorting money from film units.
Maria assured that such unruly behavior will not be tolerated and strict action shall be taken against the erring parties or officers.
