She won million hearts when she shook a leg on the dance-tapping Kaliyon Ka Chaman few years ago. Now, after exploring films down South and doing stage shows, Meghna Naidu has turned to the small screen in order to “connect with a larger audience”.
The actor, who is currently playing Meghna — a doctor and admin head in a hospital, in the second season of Fanaah on MTV, says that she is being approached for only characters with grey shades. “I will soon be doing another show on a well-known channel which will again be a negative role,” says Naidu, who before Fanaah was seen as a vish kanya in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar and has no qualms in being seen as a vamp on screen.
“I really wanted to explore the television medium as it reaches out to the masses. The more I am seen on television, the more I am called for stage performances,” says Naidu, who is there to stay in Fanaah as she has got one of the key characters in the show.
“A lot of twists and turns can be expected in the coming weeks,” says the actor about the show, the first season of which went off-air abruptly after its lead actors — Karan Kundra and Ratan Rajput — took ill.
