The on-going season 3 of DID L’il Masters sees the kids once again showcasing their dancing prowess, before Geeta Kapur, Ahmed Khan and Mudassar Khan as masters, and Mithun Chakraborty as the grand master. Ask Kapur if there’s a pressure of living up to expectations with each new season of the show, and she says, “When we’re choreographing, of course, we think about living up to expectations, because people see your work all the time, and you’re judging your own work. But, as far as the show is concerned, at least the judges aren’t really thinking or planning about doing something different each time. I’ve been associated with the show for a while, and we just go with the flow.” The choreographer also says that over the years, their criteria to audition, and hand-pick the contestants, has remained unchanged. “The kids have just become better every season. Now, they realise that they have to maintain a decorum in their dancing, and are better trained. This season is so much fun because the contestants are so good,” she adds. The reason Kapur tried to be a part of every season of the show is the fact that it’s special to her. “I am what I am because of DID, and people know me because of it. I’ve always maintained that I’ll be a part of it, whenever I can.”
Satyamev Jayate’s next season likely to air in July
The latest season of Satyamev Jayate has just been wrapped up, but the work on the upcoming season has begun already. A source close to the project says, “The research process and the shoot for the next season has begun already.” In all probability, the show can be expected to make a comeback in July, if the work on the new season is done by then.
