Coinciding with Children’s Day, a first-time ever three-day National Children’s Film Festival has been announced by the Children’s Film Society India (CFSI). With the cleanliness drive announcement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in keeping with his vision; CFSI has announced the theme of the festival as ‘Swachhta’.
Called the National Children’s Film Festival (NCFF), the event will focus on Children’s films shot or made in India by Indian makers. The three-day festival kick-started at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi on November 14.
Pappu Ki Pugdandi opened the festival that will screen many CFSI’s unreleased films. Some of the other films are Shortcut Safari, Goal, Mahek Mirza, Ek Ajooba, Kummati, Krish Trish and Baltiboy-3.
NCFF has garnered eyeballs from Bollywood personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha who have wished CFSI and NCFF through video bytes. Sania Mirza is the Guest of Honour while Jimmy Shergill and Shiamak Davar’s team will participate in cultural programmes and workshops at the fest.

Big support

Amitabh Bachchan,  Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha have wished CFSI and NCFF through video bytes.

I would like to congratulate CFSI on this brilliant initiative of organising a National children’s festival cohesively every alternate year. I want to extend my heartfelt good wishes to all the children involved in the festival and CFSI for the success of NCFF. We must all come together to watch these films and work towards a conducive environment to create platforms where such films can be showcased. This year the focus of the festival is ‘Swachhta’ (cleanliness) and we should work towards spreading the message consistently through the year.
