Gujarat High Court recently adjourned the hearing on a plea filed by actor-producer Aamir Khan and four others in a case of alleged filming of Chinkara, an endangered species, in their movie Lagaan as the state government sought time for further representation on the plea and scheduled the case for August 9. The forest department had filed the complaint against Khan and others for allegedly filming Chinkara while shooting the film in Kutch in 2000.

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt sought the blessings of Goddess Kali at the famous Kalighat Kali Temple in Kolkata in order to ward off the evil eye. During the multi-city tour to promote their film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, the young actors’ car met with an accident while travelling in Ahmedabad. Later, when they flew to Kolkata, they met with another minor accident when a speeding car hit their vehicle as they were about to enter their hotel.
