Arasuri Maa Ambe is to be screened at the Ambaji temple

Amitabh Bachchan has given the voice-over to a mythological drama Arasuri Maa Ambe, a short film made in 3 D to be screened at the famous Ambaji temple. Situated at the Gujarat and Rajasthan border, the temple has millions of devotees visiting it every year. The film talks about the story of the temple and how it came about. “When I approached Amitabh Bachchan to give the voice-over, I was surprised that he knew the history of the temple even before it had become so popular. He has narrated about 10-minutes of the story in the 40-minute film,” said director Shiv Sagar, who is the grandson of the late film-maker Ramanand Sagar.
Arasuri Maa Ambe has popular television actor Tarun Khanna of Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev, Veer Shivaji and Rangrasiya, playing Lord Shiva and Bengali actress Piyali Munshi in the role of Sati . The short film is to be screened at the temple after about 20 days.


Ravi Jadhav’s next a Hindi film titled Banjo

National award winning director Ravi Jadhav who has the record of making four back-to-back blockbuster Marathi films has been signed by Eros International for their next, Hindi film. However this would be Jadhav’s directorial debut in Bollywood. Titled Banjo, the film is presently in the scripting stage.
Jadhav began his career with Natarang, Balgandharva and Balak Palak, all of which had a 100 day run at the box-office with his last release Timepass breaking all records of Marathi films by collecting Rs.10 crore in 100 days. More details of the Hindi film, however, is awaited.
