Ajaz Khan, who was last seen in Bigg Boss season 7, will be joining the Khatron Ke Khiladi team this week, as a wild card entry. Indo-British model Deana Uppal, winner of the 2012 Miss India UK title, is also part of the wild card entry, on the show. “I thought this was a very good chance to face my fears, and Cape Town is a very beautiful place so I jumped on as this opportunity,” says Khan, about being a part of this season of Khatron… hosted by Rohit Shetty.
But Ajaz doesn’t have any fears. “I discovered I don’t have any fear. Initially I was scared of snakes, but not any longer,” he states. Known for his comic antics on Bigg Boss, the actor says he’ll also entertain people on the show through his sense of humour. He adds, “Rohit Shetty is known for his entertaining style, and now we can say that he has also made Khatron… very entertaining. Also, I have realised that humour and entertainment is a must for me.”
Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon tries to bring about a change
Doordarshan’s new show, Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon, which went on air last month, has been a unique initiative to bring about a change, in the society. The story revolves around the inspiring journey of Dr. Sneha, who represents the young Indian woman of today, and thrives on challenges. Emotionally torn between family and society, between professional aspirations and personal commitment, her struggles and triumphs form the core of this memorable soap opera. Feroz Abbas Khan, who made films like Gandhi, My Father, is the creative director of the show. Talking about it, he says, “Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon is not just a television series, it is entertainment with social responsibility. This programme challenges the regressive social ideas, female stereotyping, and gender insensitivity, that many shows propagate.”
