Telugu choreographer K Vijay dies in an aftershock in Nepal

The crew of about 20 members survived Saturday’s earthquake but the aftershock took the life of a young aspiring actor.

An upcoming Telugu actor and choreographer, Vijay Singh Kavadia, 22, died in Nepal Monday morning in a car accident caused by a powerful aftershock. Part of a crew shooting in Nepal, Vijay was travelling with three others from Kathmandu towards the Indian border when the car hit a crack and overturned.

Information & PR Minister P Raghunatha Reddy said, “The crew of about 20 members survived Saturday’s earthquake but the aftershock took the life of a young aspiring actor. We could establish contact with them only today morning and learnt about Vijay’s death.” At Vijay’s house in Guntur district, his uncle Kishan Kavadia, a music director, said, “Vijay’s parents Raja Singh and Gauribai are devastated.

They depended on Vijay who had migrated to Hyderabad to join the film industry. On Sunday morning, Vijay had called to say everyone was safe and making arrangements to travel by road to Delhi. Today morning, a crew member called and delivered the news.”
