Following the success of Iru Mugan, actor Vikram had kept his fans guessing about his next film. While most of his projects with leading filmmakers down south are still in initial stages, an official announcement was made on Thursday about the actor’s next project.
The untitled film will be directed by Vijay Chander, who made his directorial debut last year with Vaalu starring Simbu. The film will be produced under SFF banner. The makers are yet to disclose the details of the remaining cast and crew.
According to reports, Vikram is also likely to reprise Stephen Lang’s role in the Tamil remake of Hollywood film, Don’t Breathe. The Iru Mugan actor was recently spotted by the shutterbugs sporting a thick beard and toned physique, which only strengthened the speculations that he has been preparing to play the blind assassin in the remake of the Hollywood housebound crime thriller. While it is being widely reported in the media, the makers of the said project are yet to make an official announcement .
Meanwhile, another Vikram’s forthcoming projects has already been confirmed. Director Hari, who is currently busy with Singam 3, will direct the versatile actor in the sequel to his 2003 blockbuster Saamy . The film will retain the main star cast from the original, including Trisha.
Director Gautham Menon has also revealed that he is discussing a film with Vikram but it is too early to confirm anything. Guatham is basking in the success of Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, which was released last week to a positive response worldwide.
