“We are happy to announce the release date. After the announcement of demonetisation by our honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, people were in confusion and watching movies was not on their mind. So, we postponed the movie from November 18. Now we are happy to announce that we have locked December 1 as our new release date.” said film producer S Venugopal.

Many big films including Dhruva, Intlo Dayyam Nakem Bhayyam and Okkadochadu have been postponed in a similar way. Under Pradeep Kalipurayath’s direction, Bethaludu features Vijay in the lead role. The actor shot to fame after his latest Tamil action drama Pichaikkaran, which had raked in over Rs 5 crore just on its opening weekend.

The film’s trailer also gained a lot traction on YouTube as the filmmakers launched a 10-minute long trailer of the movie, saying the film has “set a new record” in its promotion. Being a popular music director, Vijay Antony, is also rendering scores for the film. The film is produced by S Venugopal under the banners of Manas Rishi Enterprises and Win Win Win Creations.

Since this is Vijay Antony’s next film after blockbuster Tollywood blockbuster Bichagadu, reports also suggest that the trade is betting high on this film and the movies said to have a stunning pre-release business.
