Under the direction of newcomer Mallik Ram, the movie also features debutante Pallavi Subhash as the female lead. Akkineni Nagarjuna is presenting the movie under the Annapurna Studios banner and Sumanth’s sister Supriya, along with John Sudheer Pudhota, is producing the film.

While Bollywood fandom received the subject very cheerfully and the original movie became a hit, it will be a decisive test for Sumanth as the actor is making a comeback after a gap of one year.

The funny story behind the title

Sumanth coined the word ‘DONORuda’ after randomly stumbling upon it — while taking a shower! The famous Balakrishna song ‘Naruda O Naruda’ from Bhairavadweepam was also of help. He added the D in front of O Naruda, thus arriving at DONORuda, reported IdleBrain.

The report also said that, Sumanth started discussing this idea with his friends and when he randomly shared the title with director SS Rajamouli and MM Keeravani at a film function, both of them were in splits of laughter. Rajamouli also told him to lock it and look no further.
