Actor Sai Dharam Tej is ready with his third project this year, which is another family entertainer — Winner. The filmmaker on Friday released the first look poster of the movie.
Director Gopichand Malineni took to Twitter to share the poster on the actor’s birthday. According to reports, the film features Sai Dharam Tej playing a fashion designer while female lead Rakul Preet Singh plays an athlete. The director has finished 50 per cent of the film’s shoot.
After his hit Subramanyam For Sale in 2015, the actor worked in Supreme and Thikka this year. However, the latter couldn’t add much to the actor’s work due to the cold reception it got from the Tollywood audience.
“The movie is about a youth’s fight to win his father who gave birth to him and a girl who he fell in love with. We gave Winner as the title because it seemed apt for the movie. I am happy to announce the title and the first look poster of the movie on the actor’s birthday. Five and one bit songs will be there in the movie. The movie will appeal to all age groups of the audience,” director Malineni said.
Under Nallamalapu Bujji and Tagore Madhu’s production, the movie is being bankrolled under Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.
Sai Dharm Tej schedule is tightly packed as the actor is already busy with his next action flick Nakshatram under Krishna Vamsi direction. The film stars Sundeep Kishan, Pragya Jaiswal and Regina Cassandra. However, Tej will be doing a cameo in the movie, playing a police officer opposite Pragya.
