Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s Remo is the latest film to fall prey to online piracy. The full version of the film is apparently available on several torrent websites for downloading and online streaming.

The makers of the romantic comedy have been taking steps to contain the damage by removing the links to pirated copies. They have also sought help from the audience and fans of Siva in identifying the piracy sites showing Remo and take action against them.

“Working round the clock (sic) for a reason (sic) #Killpiracy #Remo,” tweeted Skycinemas, the digital company associated with the film. “Removed lots of Full #Remo Movies in #Facebook Please support to block everything. Do send links to skycinemasofficial@gmail.com #Killpiracy.”

According to reports, pirated copies of Prabhu Deva’s Devi and Vijay Sethupathi Rekka are also available online.

Not just online piracy, the makers of Remo are also going after illegal DVDs and have also busted a piracy racket in Coimbatore, even as the raids are still continuing.

The trade of pirated DVDs seems to be thriving despite government and film fraternity’s constant efforts. Earlier, Dhanush’s Thodari and Vijay Sethupathi’s Aandavan Kattalai also suffered from a similar fate due to the piracy racket.

Remo has opened to a huge response from the audience on Friday. However, the film has received bad reviews from the critics. While Devi(L), which marks the comeback of Prabhu in Tamil after a long time, has mostly garnered positive reviews. And the business for the film set to have recorded a jump on the second day. Meanwhile, Rekka is also expected to perform well at the box office.
