Rajinikanth is modern-day Duryodhana, says Mohan Babu

Veteran actor M. Mohan Babu, who met his long-time friend and actor Rajinikanth at his residence here, says the 65-year-old star looks like a king and he called him a modern-day Duryodhana.

Veteran actor M. Mohan Babu, who met his long-time friend and actor Rajinikanth at his residence here, says the 65-year-old star looks like a king and he called him a modern-day Duryodhana.

“Had a good time meeting my best friend. He looks like a King! In this kaliyuga, he would be Duryodhana and I, Karna,” Mohan Babu wrote on his Twitter page on Saturday.

He also shared a picture he clicked with the superstar and his wife, Latha. Mohan Babu and Rajinikanth have been friends for decades now, and have worked together in 1995 Telugu film “Pedarayudu”.

Meanwhile, Dhanush recently announced that superstar Rajinikanth’s next outing after Tamil science-fiction actioner 2.o will be in his production. “I’m so proud and honoured to announce our production’s next film,” Dhanush earlier wrote on his Twitter page.

He attached a video with his tweet, indicating that he is collaborating with Rajinikanth and Kabali director Pa Ranjith. Dhanush is married to Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya.

Rajinikanth and Pa Ranjith together gave us one of the biggest hits this year, Kabali. The multilingual film where Rajinikanth played a don who comes to the rescue of Malaysian Tamils while righting the wrongs done against him and his family reportedly made over Rs 500 crore worldwide at the box office.

At present, busy shooting for magnum opus 2.o, Rajinikanth is expected to start working on this project next year. Wunderbar films has earlier delivered blockbusters and critically acclaimed movies such as Velayilla Pattathari and Kaaka Muttai, among others.

A sequel of Kabali is on the cards but nothing has been confirmed as yet. The film opened on July 22 to 4 am shows and fan hysteria across the world.
