The makers have released the poster of superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film 2.0, days before releasing the first look of the film on Sunday. The poster features Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in his villainous avatar, sporting big eyebrows as seen in previously leaked pictures, standing below the gigantic title.

The poster indeed looks intriguing and does justice to the film’s genre, which is sci-fi. The first look of the film will be released at a grand event at Yash Raj studios in Mumbai. The makers also confirmed that Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar will be hosting the star-studded event, which will be graced by the film’s entire star cast. The event will be also live streamed on a YouTube channel.

Recently, Enthiran team wrapped its shoot in Chennai. The film is being made at a whopping budget of Rs 350 crore and is simultaneously produced in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, which is said to be Shankar’s most ambitious project so far.

The film has been making waves ever since it was announced. Enthiran 2.0 also marks the acting debut of Akshay Kumar in the south.

Oscar-winner AR Rahman has composed music for this mega-budget film, while another Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty has also lent his expertise to the project. 2.0 also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in important roles. The film, which is bankrolled by Lyca Productions, is slated for an early 2017 release.
