Rewind to 2.0 first look launch where Bollywood star Salman Khan stole the thunder after he landed uninvited at the event out of his sheer love for Rajinkanth. The duo formed a mutual admiration society but this comment by Rajinikanth about working with Salman really stood out, “Even tomorrow if Salman says yes, I’m ready.”
Producer Rockline Venkatesh, it seems, wants to cast both the stellar actors in one film. As reported by Filmibeat, the producer was quoted as saying, “When Rajini decides to work with someone, everything just falls into place and things go at a rapid pace. On my part, there is no such move. I will announce my next movie at a suitable time.”
It is also known that Venkatesh was a co-producer of Salman’s blockbuster hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He had also said that he would be interested in working with Salman “again and again”. We can only expect that both stars would be soon cast for a movie together.
Meanwhile, nothing about the film, title or script is known. We couldn’t also see when that project could start as Rajini might be roped in for Kabali 2 whose title has already been registered at the Tamil Nadu Film Chambers. However, speculation says that Rajinikanth would take up the lead role only after listening to the final draft of the project. The rest of the crew is not yet confirmed. Popular Bollywood actor Radhika Apte played the lead opposite Rajinikanth in Kabali.
Rajinikanth is also gearing up for the release of his movie 2.0 (a sequel to Enthiran) that is set for a release next year. The film is reportedly being made on a massive budget of Rs 350 crore and also stars Akshay Kumar.
