The wait is over! The official Telugu remake of Malayalam movie Premam is slated for release on October 7, with the same title, pushing it into the Tollywood race for a Dusshera knockout, said a report.

“We are planning to release the movie on October 7 on the special eve of Dussehra. We are also very happy with the huge response from the music lovers to Evare song, and expecting the same from our new single Bang Bang. Shooting has been wrapped up, however, a little post-production work is underway. Music directors Gopi Sunder and Rajesh Murugeshan have composed great romantic music for Premam and audio is going to release on September 20 in a grand manner,” Suryadevara Nagavamsi, producer of the movie said, quoted Telugu Cinema.

The announcement of the movie dates and the second title comes a week after the producers released the main title Evare with the same background score of the Malayalam version, Malare.

The second track Bang Bang, penned down by Ramajogayya Sastry and rendered by Haricharan, is reported to be released on September 8 under music director Gopi Sunder’s composition.

There are also reports doing the rounds that the script was slightly tinkered with to suit the taste of Telugu audience.

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Hassan, teaming for the first time on silver screen, are going to play the lead roles in Telugu replacing Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi from the Malayalam blockbuster. Meanwhile, the other female actors Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sebastian have been retained in the Telugu remake.

Under the direction of Chandoo Mondenti, Naga Chaitanya’s Premam is produced by Suryadevara Nagavamsi from Sithara Entertainments.
