Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan’s next Telugu outing “Katamarayudu”, a remake of Tamil blockbuster “Veeram”, will finally start rolling here from next week, according to a source.
“The principal shooting starts from September 20 and Pawan Kalyan, who is relieved of all his political commitments, will join the sets on September 24. The first schedule will happen in Hyderabad,” the source from the film’s unit told IANS.
The title of the film was revealed by the makers on Pawan Kalyan’s 46th birthday on September 2 as a special gift for his fans. In the film, Pawan will be seen as a Rayalaseema factionist who is unlucky in love.
The film’s shooting, which commenced last month and was subsequently delayed due to the actor’s political commitments, will resume from this month.
To be directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani who is called Dolly, the project also stars Kajal Aggarwal. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised.
In the year 1996, Pawan Kalyan entered the Telegu film industry. Film critics and film buffs treated him more like the younger brother of Chiranjeevi. Back then, it was unimaginable to think that in future, the man would soon carve his own identity and form a fan base completely by his own strength.
The film is being jointly bankrolled by Pawan along with close friend Sharrath Marar.
