While the shooting of his next, Katamarayudu, is underway, Pawan Kalyan on Dusshera announced that he will be starring in yet another remake of a Tamil movie, which will be directed by R T Neason. The shooting of the film will begin next year.
The film will be the remake of Tamil film Vedalam and is slated for a release on Sankranti next year. Pawan is already busy with his shoot in the upcoming Telugu actioner Katamarayudu, which is the official remake of Ajith-starrer Veeram.
“It was a very low-key launch. Pawan Kalyan, director Neason and producer A M Rathnam attended the event. The film will go on the floors next year,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
The actor took a break from his political commitments and joined the sets of Katamarayudu in September. Under the direction of Dolly and a production of Sharat Marrar, the action entertainer Katamarayadu will feature Pawan Kalyan as a faction leader. Actor Shruti Haasan has been roped in as the female lead in the movie.
With these two films on the floor, Pawan has batted away all rumours about him leaving Tollywood for politics. Last month, amid growing speculation that the Tollywood actor would drift away from film industry into politics, Pawan Kalyan had cleared the air stating that he will continue his acting career. “Acting is my livelihood. I will not stop. Yet, I will continue my political journey,” the Tollywood actor, as quoted by Telugu Cinema, had stated clearly.
