The “Boss is back” in a ravishing avatar in the new posters of Khaidi No 150. The filmmakers have thrown some light on the silhouette first-look bringing Megastar Chiranjeevi to life for Diwali.
Khaidi No 150 is Chiranjeevi’s comeback and his 150th movie. It is all set for a release in January next year. The movie will be special for both the star and his mega fandom as the actor is returning to movies after 10 years. He has remained busy with his political commitments all this while.
The film is an entirely family package as it is being bankrolled by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Teja himself. More than 70 per cent of its shooting has already been wrapped. The makers are now trying to pull all stops to push it out in January 2017. “We have completed more than 70 per cent of the shoot and dad had also started dubbing for the film. We are happy with the output so far and we are planning to release the film in January as a Sankranti treat,” Ram Charan had said earlier this month.
It is amazing for Chiranjeevi’s fans to see how the star seems he hasn’t aged even a bit since we last saw him on screens. Director Ram Gopal Varma also echoed similar sentiments, “WTF? Mega star is looking 7 years younger than I last saw him 7 years back,” he responded on Twitter.
Under V V Vinayak’s direction, Khaidi No 150 is a remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi that was directed by AR Murugadoss and had Vijay in the lead role. The much-awaited movie has Chiranjeevi playing the lead role who will be romancing Kajal Aggarwal. The film also has Devi Sri Prasad scoring the music and Bollywood actor Tarun Arora playing the baddie.
Chiranjeevi has loaded his guns for reviving his image, as he is also busy with something more. For the first time he is set to host the fourth season of the television quiz show, ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’ (MEK) — replacing Nagarjuna. The popular Telugu television show is an adaptation of famous Hindi show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
