Rajinikanth’s prosthetic look and visual effects in the movie were its highlights. He also romanced one of the most beautiful women in the world, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film. As the film’s name suggests, Rajinikanth appeared like a boss on screen. He played the character of Sivaji, a software systems architect, who fights corruption in his way when he returns to India to fulfill his dream of providing free medical treatment and education. Once again Rajini made his way into the hearts of many with his dialogues. The movie was a blockbuster commercial hit and also brought several accolades. Though the movie fared well with the audiences, his never-seen-before avatar was one of the most-awaited development of the year. He was seen alongside Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone in the film.
Rajinikanth portrayed the role of Dr Saravanan, a psychiatrist, who tries to solve the mystery of all the paranormal activities gripped around a family and a king called Vethaiyan in this horror comedy film.
