Moving from supporting comic roles to a serious lead role, Srinivas Reddy is changing his game with his next title Jayammu Nischayammura. The filmmakers have released the trailer of the movie, which is slated for a release on November 25.
A small-town guy from an impoverished background gets a government job in the city. He promises his sick mother to return at the earliest with a transfer but somehow everything gets delayed. Meanwhile, he falls in love with a girl. Everyone seems to exploit his innocence, but he ultimately fights back the power to build self-confidence and regain his status. That’s the story in one breath! JNR’s trailer somehow gave us the entire plot rather than bits and pieces to lure the audience.
The story seems to be little clichéd, however, the film packs a lot of comedians including the lead himself. Krishna Bhagavaan, Posani Murali, Praveen and many others are on board for a comic drama. In the film, Praveen plays a character named ‘Tatkal’, a tout in the municipal office.
The film also seems to capture subtle nuances between the two Telugu states. The trailer, in the beginning, clocks back to 2013 talking about the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The guy with different dialect throws hints that he comes from a village in Telangana who gets a job in Kakinada, a town in the coastal strip of Andhra.
Though Reddy has a lot of industry experience in playing comic characters, his new category playing a lead and a serious one is something that is new to the Tollywood audience.
