Jyo Achyuthananda shook the box office collection since its release on September 8. Under the direction of Srinivas Avasarala, the film quickly rose through the ranks beating Iru Mugan and other movies released for Onam.
More than characters, the gripping script from Avasarala, which was perfectly laced with comedy, was appreciated.
After a good reception from audience within India and from the US, Avasarala took to Facebook and shared his views on the script and characters in the play. He was deeply thrilled when people asked why he chose Nara Rohith in the movie. “I think Nara Rohith fits the part perfectly. I was looking for someone who could act as an elder brother and he did a great job for me. I am really happy with the response. Naga Shourya is also a wonderful actor and in this movie he expressed his emotions with much more intensity than in Oohalu Gusagusalade,” said Avasarala.
However, the director was honest about minor issues with the script and how the audience felt the second half of the movie fell flat with little humor.
“Even I am aware of the problems in the script. I will work on it. But, then again, humor is not always the driving part of all stories,” he added.
Echoing the celebrity and public response to Janatha Garage’s fame, Avasarala said, “Tarak is one of my favourite actors and I am so happy for Janatha Garage success, it is big hit everywhere.”
