Dhanush’s Kodi trailer gets good reviews, audio launched

Unlike Thodari, Kodi did not get a grand audio launch, the function was a low-key affair attended by close friends and Dhanush's confident in the industry, says director Vetrimaran.

The trailer of actor Dhanush’s upcoming movie had a special screening on Wednesday at a press conference in Chennai. And the members of the media and those who attended the event have given good reviews about the promo.

“#KODI watched the trailer!! Double Dhamaka treat for @dhanushkraja fans!! what an on screen presence!! ATB to @Madan2791 Kodi Parakkudhu!!!,” tweeted Tamil producer Senthil Veeraasamy.

 

“Saw the #Kodi trailer.. Looks like a winning dual role formula for @dhanushkraja this Diwali (sic) – mainly politics, family angle, romance etc,” tweeted Kaushik LM, a film journalist.

Overwhelmed by the response, Dhanush took to Twitter to thank the media persons. “Sincere thanks 2 all the press nd media who attended #kodi press meet. Had a beautiful positive session with reporters who knew me as a kid.”

The audio of Dhanush’s upcoming political thriller was also released at the same event. Unlike Thodari, Kodi did not get a grand audio launch, the function was a low-key affair attended by close friends and Dhanush’s confident in the industry, director Vetrimaran.

The actor-director duo share a strong personal and professional bond in the industry and even had many good things to say about each other at the event.

During the media interaction, Dhanush said that while many people have been part of his success, Vetrimaran has been with him even in his failures and difficulties.

National Award-winning director Vetrimaran and Dhnaush have collaborated together in different capacities in the past and have delivered several hits, namely, Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Visaranai, Kaaka Muttai.

The event was attended by music director Santhosh Narayanan, RS Durai Senthilkumar and Malayalam Premam fame actress Anupama, among others.

The guests were even treated to a video song from Kodi, titled Kodi Parakkum. The trailer will be officially launched on Wednesday evening.
