For the first time ever ‘Megastar’ Chiranjeevi is set to host a quiz TV show, ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’ (MEK). The popular Telugu TV show is an adaptation of globally acclaimed Hindi TV show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, Kaun Banega Crorepati, popularly known as KBC.

After a successful run for three seasons with ‘King’ Nagarjuna as host, the fourth season of the show by MAA television will be taken over by Chiru starting from this December 12. The show will be telecasted on MAA TV from Monday to Thursday between 8.30 to 9.30 pm, reported Telugu 360.

MAA TV in 2015 became a part of the Star television network and the chief stakeholders of the original MAA – Nimmagadda Prasad, Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna — have sold their shares. Though the Megastar is busy wrapping up the shoot of his 150th comeback movie Khaidi No 150, he took time out of his schedule to host the show. After a setback in politics, the star is not leaving any stone unturned by stretching his arms both into Tollywood, again, and taping on his fan-base through television. While MEK was a great hit for Nagarjuna, it would be a challenge for Chiru to recreate that magic. The three seasons of MEK had also seen many popular celebrities like including Chiranjeevi himself, Jr NTR, Vidya Balan, Shriya Saran, Naga Chaitanya and Kajal Aggarwal as guests.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna is reportedly busy with shooting for his latest movie, Om Namo Venkatesaya, he signed with Raghavendra Rao. He is also caught up with post-produced works of Nirmala Convent, under Annapurna productions, which is slated to release in September this year.
