After Chiranjeevi was roped in for the fourth season of popular game show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu (MEK), MAA TV on Thursday took to Twitter to share the first look picture and a 20-second teaser on YouTube.

“Here is the sneak peak of the Mega Surprise … Stay tuned for more #MEKwithMegastar,” the channel posted with the video link. For the first time ever, Chiranjeevi is set to host a quiz TV show (MEK). The popular Telugu TV show is an adaptation of globally acclaimed TV show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. It has been adapted in Hindi as Kaun Banega Crorepati with Amitabh Bachchan as the host.

While ‘King’ Nagarjuna hosted the show successfully for three seasons, the fourth season of the show by MAA television will be taken over by Chiru starting from this December 12. The show will be telecasted on MAA TV from Monday to Thursday between 8.30 to 9.30 pm.

MAA TV in 2015 became a part of the Star television network and the chief stakeholders of the original MAA – Nimmagadda Prasad, Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna — have sold their shares. Though the megastar is busy wrapping up the shoot of his 150th comeback movie Khaidi No 150, he took time out of his schedule to host the show. After a setback in politics, the star is not leaving any stone unturned to cement his hold on Tollywood and tapping his fan-base through television is one such move.

While MEK was a great hit for Nagarjuna, it would be a challenge for Chiru to recreate that magic.

The three seasons of MEK had also seen many popular celebrities like including Chiranjeevi himself, Jr NTR, Vidya Balan, Shriya Saran, Naga Chaitanya and Kajal Aggarwal as guests.
