In the latest update in the Baahubali 2 online leak case, six more people have been arrested along with the graphic designer who was directly connected with the leak of a nine-minute clip of Baahubali: The Conclusion.
According to a report in Indiaglitz, based on the information from Krishna, the graphic designer, the police have arrested six students for circulating the video on social media platforms. On Wednesday, producer of the film Shobu Yarlagadda tweeted that the graphic designer was nabbed by Hyderabad police and was handed over to the cyber crime department in the city. “It is very unfortunate that a small unfinished video clip of @BaahubaliMovie was leaked online yesterday. The person responsible for the leak was identified with the help of security features in place and was arrested late last night by police and handed over to cyber crime,” Shobu Yarlagadda of Arka Mediaworks, which is bankrolling the big-ticket film, had tweeted.
The filmmakers quickly took steps to remove the video clip in the question from the internet. According to reports, the clip featuring leading characters played by Prabhas and Anushka Shetty was first uploaded on the YouTube. The video is now said to be widely shared on social media.
Other reports suggest that in the flash drive obtained by the local police, scenes from Nagarjuna’s upcoming movie Om Namo Venkateshaya were also found. The designer was said to be working on both the projects simultaneously as both the films were being shot currently in Ramoji Film City.
