In what came as a good news for fans of Baahubali franchise, the first look of the much-awaited film, Baahubali: The Conclusion, will be released at the Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival on October 22. Even more exciting news is that the fans can experience the world of Baahubali in virtual reality.
In order to push the cinematic experience to the next level, director S S Rajamouli has announced that the makers will install virtual reality booths across the country at a cost of Rs 25 crore.
“I am very excited about the work we are doing in the Virtual Reality space with Baahubali. We are currently working on 2 VR experiences,” Rajamouli had posted on his Twitter account.
Virtual reality technology offers audiences an element of participation. It stimulates an environment, where audiences feel as if they are present on the sets of Baahubali.

“Virtual Experience of being on Baahubali sets! This is being captured on a high-end VR camera built by AMD Radeon. It will be released on October 22 (on the occasion of Prabhas’s birthday). The second is a 3D photo-realistic VR experience built in a game engine and set in the climax of Baahubali 2. This will be accessible just before the release of the second part,” he added.
The shooting for the second film in the two-part epic movie series is fast nearing the completion. The team will wrap its shoot by December after which the post production work will begin. The film is slated for a release on April 28, 2017.
