Telugu anchor Anusuya Bharadwaj has been roped in for a special song in Sai Dharam Tej’s next outing, Winner. “We planned a special song and some scenes with Anusuya in the film. With Sai Dharam Tej and Rakul Preet Singh, the film’s songs will be a special attraction. The movie will appeal to all age groups of the audience. The action sequence of the shooting will also take place in Istanbul,” director Gopichand Malineni said in a statement.
Anasuya is popular for her television shows and she recently forayed into Tollywood with roles in Soggade Chinni Nayana and Kshanam. Winner features Sai Dharam Tej playing a fashion designer and female lead Rakul Preet Singh playing an athlete. The director has finished 50 per cent of the film’s shoot.
The director also said that the movie is about a youth’s fight to win his father who gave birth to him and a girl who he fell in love with. Which is how, he said, that the title seemed apt.
Under Nallamalapu Bujji and Tagore Madhu’s production, the movie is being bankrolled under Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. The first look poster of the movie was launched by the director on Tej’s birthday.
After Tej’s hit Subramanyam For Sale in 2015, the actor worked in Supreme and Thikka this year. However, Thikka got a cold reception at the box office.
The actor’s schedule is also tightly packed as he is already busy with his next action flick Nakshatram under Krishna Vamsi’s direction. The film stars Sundeep Kishan, Pragya Jaiswal and Regina Cassandra. However, Tej will only be doing a cameo in the movie, playing a police officer opposite Pragya.
