Malayalam actor Dileep visited the famed Lord Ayyappa temple on Thursday morning and offered his prayers. The actor who has been the cynosure of all eyes since his arrest was recently let out on bail. According to reports, Dileep reached the shrine at around 4 am and also met with the Sabarimala melsanthi and other priests before leaving.
The visit comes amid reports that suggest that Dileep could be made the prime accused in the Malayalam Actress abduction case as the police have allegedly discovered that the hospital documents submitted by Dileep were fake. Dileep had claimed that he was not well on February 17, the day the actor was molested. According to a report in Times of India, the documents stated that Dileep had been in the hospital from February 14 to 21 thus absolving him from involvement in the case. In the current charge sheet filed before his arrest, Dileep’s name has been listed as the 11th accused.
The actor was arrested in July after claims that he had masterminded the attack on a popular Malayalam actress for personal vendetta. The actor was accused of paying Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case, to abduct and molest the actress. Dileep was in jail for more than two months after the sensational arrest, stepping out just once to perform his father’s funeral rites.
Meanwhile, Dileep’s latest release Ramleela struck gold at the box office. Reports also suggested that the actor would join the sets of his next film by October 20. Dileep was arrested when he was shooting for Kammara Sambhavam in Theni. Kammara Sambhavam is a big-ticket film that is being made on a budget of Rs 20 crore. Writer-actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for the multi-starrer, which has Dileep, Siddharth, Tamannaah, Namitha Pramod among others in the star cast.
