Three police officers have been suspended for allegedly giving teen pop sensation Justin Bieber an unauthorised escort just days before he was arrested for driving under influence.
The officers have been sent home without pay while an investigation is carried out whether the lawmen escorted 19-year-old singer including to a nearby strip club, reported Daily Mirror.
“Their presence at the airport was unauthorised. All escorts must be approved…whether it was Bieber or anyone else, for that matter,” said Opa-locka Assistant City Manager David Chiverton.
A few days later the Canadian singer was detained and arrested for driving under influence, driving with an expired license and resisting arrest in a Lamborghini on a residential street near Miami Beach.
He was later transferred to a county jail and released on a Euro 1827.88 bond. Bieber’s next court date is tomorrow, but he is not expected to appear in person.
