Superhero movies, especially the ones which belong to Marvel have a moderately set tale. There’s always a glimpse of one menacing sound, be it Spiderman, Captain America or Iron Man, the trailer itself declares who will be the hero and who’s going to be the villain. The new trailer of Logan, which is the final film in the Wolverine franchise shows a hero who feels helpless and is often vulnerable.
Hugh Jackman, who is Logan, looks less like a superhero. Logan has been co-produced by Marvel. But this wouldn’t be the first time Marvel has invested in a superhero movie with more character based thrills over large-scale destruction in the city of New York.
In 2016, films like Deadpool and Captain America: Civil War still touched a few of these character based thrills while focusing on action sequences.
This is sort of a reminder of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Maggie, more than a Marvel film.
However, the trailer does not guarantee a good watch, neither does it promise to be anything unexpectedly plaintive. This, when Marvel has already delivered two hits in 2016. Even its soon to arrive Dr. Strange’s trailer starring Benedict Cumberbatch is looking immensely promising.
We can only hope Logan can stand the popularity of all these superheroes. The Hugh Jackman film will release in March 2017.
