Actress-director Elizabeth Banks is putting a spotlight on funny women for a new digital comedy platform called WhoHaha.
The “Pitch Perfect” star co-founded the site, which aims to feature material from female comedy creators to give them the opportunity to “distribute their content to a wider audience and a place for users to spend hours laughing”, reported Contactmusic.
Banks, 42, officially launched the website earlier thisweek, posting a video in which she says, “After years of
taking 90 per cent of lead comedy roles and being forced to appear nightly on stand up stages around the globe, we are here to relieve you of your obligations.
“(To men) bow out… Here at WhoHaha, our motto is: If men can do it, they probably learned it from a woman. Funny women have been keeping this planet alive for centuries.”
