It is a time to celebrate for all of us who grew up watching the animated show DuckTales. The iconic cartoon characters Huey, Louie, Dewey, and Scrooge McDuck are coming back on our screens from the summer of 2017, which kind of gives us a good New Year feel even before it has knocked on our doors.
Based on the 1987 Walt Disney series, DuckTales’ comeback was first announced by Disney last year. Apart from featuring the classic characters, the show will also have other fan favourites: Duckworth, Magica De Spell, Launchpad McQuack, and Flintheart Glomgold. According to the Entertainment Weekly, the show’s first season will contain 21 half-hour episodes and two one-hour specials. In fact, the website has also shared a new glimpse of the show, which takes us back to our childhood.
For those parents who think their kids are missing out on all the fun they had while watching animated shows, this is surely your time to share the new DuckTales. Joining the new series is Webbigail Vanderquack, who plays granddaghter of Scrooge’s domestic help.
Webbigail has been bumped up from recurring character to series regular and is said to be the most reinvented character in the bunch. The show will air on Disney XD.
